Many consider abandoned mental hospitals to be scary or straight out of a horror story.......
A SENSE OF MYSTERY
For some reason, it remains a fascinating subject to visit, to discover, to capture with my camera. The architecture in various countries makes it fascinating, because of the “spooky” feeling you have when you walk around.
In several countries the psychiatric places are still as they were abandoned 30 or 40 years ago. And why have they been abandoned? In many countries wards like these are no longer accepted and sometimes even banned. Back in the day, it didn’t matter what was wrong with you, the goal was to heal you.
